STAR
The Nebraska STAR Handbook (2007 revision) and a summary of the changes made in the Handbook has been placed on the Nebraska STAR area of the FCCLA webpage. The major changes are:
- Consumer Issues is a Jr. High only event
- Financial Planning, a national STAR event for students in grade 11-12, will replace the senior high Consumer Issues event
The National STAR Manual will be placed on the national FCCLA webpage sometime between mid-September and early October. Rules and rating sheets for the Financial Planning event will be included in the new manual. There are two other national events being introduced this coming school year, but since I could not obtain even a draft copy of the events Nebraska will not be implementing them this year.
STAR Videos of Nebraska State Champions may be checked out from the State Department. An order form is in your red chapter handbook, page 16. The videos from 2006 and 2007 are on DVD, the previous year videos are VCR.
